Steve Thompson is a mixed media contemporary artist, based near Harrogate in Yorkshire. Working from the studio in his garden his paintings are inspired by the world around him both at home and during his extensive traveling. Steve’s paintings are are created using various mediums to create inspired landscape and abstract pieces.

His work is often a process of trial and error, played out on the surface of whatever painting he is working on at the time. It often fragments or obstructs images to create an opening for the viewer.
